Umm-e-Ayman

After the Holy Nabi صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم was brought to the home of his mother at Makkah from the home of Haleemah Sa’diyyah رَضِیَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهَا, he was looked after day and night with great care and kindness by Umm-e-Ayman who was the slave-girl of his father. The name of Umm-e-Ayman was ‘Barakah’ whom he inherited from his father. She would feed and clothe him and would wash his clothes. Sayyiduna Zayd Ibn Haarisah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was a freed slave of the Holy Nabi صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم . Umm-e-Ayman was married to him by Rasoolullah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم . She gave birth to Sayyiduna Usamah Bin Zayd1 رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ.
