Blessed Habits of Beloved Mustafa
صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم

Each and every habit of our Greatest and Beloved Rasoolصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمis unparalleled. Following are 8 such admirable traits:

  1. Saying Labbayk
  2. Whoever would call the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould bless him with the reply by saying Labbayk [لَبَّیک]. (Ash-Shifa, vol. 1, pp. 121)

  3. Listening till the end
  4. Whenever anyone whispered anything in the blessed ear of Rasoolullah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمdid not pull his blessed head away from the speaker’s mouth until the speaker finished.(Ibid)

  5. Never stretching legs
  6. The Beloved Rasoolصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould never sit having his legs stretched when the blessed Sahabah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم would be present in his blessed court. (Ibid)

  7. Laying down his shawl
  8. If someone would visit the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, sometimes, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would lay down his blessed shawl for him; in fact, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would even offer his cushion [to the visitor]. (Ibid, vol. 1, pp. 122)

  9. Calling people by Kunyahs
  10. The Beloved Rasoolصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould call the blessed Sahabah by their Kunyahs [patronymic names] and by [their] names which they liked.(Ibid)

  11. Dignified speech
  12. Heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould speak slowly and calmly with incredible dignity, allowing any listener to count the number of sentences if he wished to. (Ibid, vol. 1, pp. 139)

  13. Dignified walk
  14. Heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould walk quickly, leaning forward slightly as though heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمis walking downhill. (Shumaail-ut-Tirmizi, pp. 87)

    Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has narrated: Heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould walk so fast as if the earth is being rolled beneath his blessed feet. We would get out of breath while walking with him but heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould keep on walking quickly and effortlessly. (Shumaail-ut-Tirmizi, pp. 86)

  15. Gift of fragrance
  16. Heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould never refuse the gift of fragrance, in fact, heصَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمwould say: Do not reject the gift of fragrance since it has come from Heaven (Ibid, pp. 130)

    May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ help us to develop the blessed habits of our Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم.

    اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم
